Christa Miremadi

Communications Director

BCBHA Vice President

Christa has been in the saddle for as long as she can remember.  Growing up in England she got her start in the English world of hunter/jumper but quickly discovered her passion for back country riding, stockwork and developing bridlehorses.  She has been an active and professional member of the horse community in B.C. for more than 30 years and has been running the Rock'n Star Ranch for 25 years.  She and her husband Pinto own and manage the Rock'n Star Ranch in Pritchard B.C., just east of Kamloops, where they provide long term, natural care boarding as well as caring for their own herd of horses, their dogs, their cats, two kids and even a bearded dragon.  Together they provide workshops and education in foundation development, back country riding, bridlehorse development, stockmanship, and natural hoof care.  Along with the workshops they also offer full time training, starting colts, troubleshooting, developing stockhorses, bridlehorses and back country trail horses.  When she's not working on the ranch, Christa is riding her own horses for fun or writing.  Christa is the author of three books geared towards helping people better understand their horses and the influence they have through mindful horsemanship.

Lindsay Craig

Communications Director

Lindsay Craig has been enamored by the horse world all her life. From racing down back roads in Ashcroft to hunter/jumper competitions in Vancouver, she has spent most of her life pursuing horsemanship. Exploring many aspects of the horse industry over the last 20 years as a clinician, trainer, barn manager, EAL facilitator and full time steward to the horse, she is now taking on the world of media. Founder and creator of Cowboy Coffee Magazine Lindsay has become an event coordinator, writer, publisher and magazine curator. Falling in love with the history, beauty, and the quality of bridle horse development, its community and the talent it holds have been the main inspiration to her publication.  Her passion for music, fashion, and vintage have remained since letting go of city life and moving up to the mountains of Pemberton, BC to be closer to her herd and dive deeper into country living. Still with a finger on the pulse in the Western Americana scene, she is always discovering new crafters, makers and musicians to promote and share. Staying close enough to the city not to miss a show! Building strong community and celebrating each other's talents, skills and passions are what drives this cross-dressing cowgirl.

Devanee Cardinal

Communications Director

Devanee’s passions can be summed up as faith, family, and horses and they all get stacked on top of each other at her home, Cardinal Ranch. When it comes to her approach to horses, she cares most about developing  partnerships that are calm, willing and productive. That is why the art of developing the bridlehorse has captured her heart.  As a student of both horse and human psychology she loves the opportunities that our horse-human interactions give us to work on our own hearts.  Devanee also helps with a non-profit called Cardinal Ranch Connections that offers Teen Programs, Cowgirls@Heart and Cowboy Church.

More fun facts. Devanee raises Lusitano horses and Catahoula dogs.  She has a knack for marketing, her horse is named Mountain and he makes her feel "rich", and she really likes her husband, Buddy.
